oEmbed is a format for allowing an embedded representation of a URL on third party sites. MonoX now allows you to display embedded content (such as photos or videos) when a user posts a link to that resource, without having to parse the resource directly.

Very often you can fine tune MonoX functionality without programming, but some solutions do require a lot of background ASP.NET knowledge. To ease the learning curve in this type of scenarios, we have decided to introduce a fully fledged MonoX API that allows developers to easily access and modify MonoX objects and features.

The newest release of MonoX includes the support for the OpenSocial Server API 1.1. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first downloadable ASP.NET CMS that allows third-party applications or services to connect via the OpenSocial standard.
