Hi,

The installation wizard is failing in the database table creation stage. I have an empty database with a user which is defined with dbo permissions.

I tried to run this both with touching and not touching the advanced monoX settings and it behaves the same. I am using SQL Server 2008.

Some of the error includes characters in Chinese, very odd really... My site or database are not in Chinese.

The error message is very long so I will give bits of it (some of it is repetitive). It is displayed a frame in the installation is in progress page:

Well, this is something new :) Either your SQL installation scripts were compromised during the FTP transfer (you can see them in /MonoX/installer/Sql/CreateDatabase.sql), or something is very wrong with the SQL Server settings, you should check this with your hosting provider. Could you also check the collation of your MonoX database as it is created on the server?

Hi Denis,

You were right. Lots of SQL script files got corrupted. I was using FileZilla to upload them as with all files but for some reason some particular ones (not all) get corrupted using this way. I have deleted the relevant files and uploaded them via my hosting control panel and it worked. I finally was able to get MonoX install, thank god!

Noy
