Basic functionality

Here's a basic code sample, where a DataList control is paged with the MonoSoftware.Web.Pager.
Normally, you can't page a DataList, but it's really easy with the Pager control. Notice how the Pager properties are used for binding in the <PagerTemplate>. For example, IsFirstPage is used to disable the First and Previous buttons, because clicking on them has no sense when you are browsing the first page. The Container used in binding is the Pager control itself, there is no intermediate element like PagerItem or something. Also, notice that CommandName on every button is controling the pager action, which is defined with the PagerCommand enumeration.
The best thing is that, if you look more carefully, the template is really concise and there is no a single line of code in the code-behind which is related to the paging process. That shows the greatest power of the MonoSoftware.Web.Pager - it is easy to use and it will save your time immensly. Another advantage of this, which may not be noticable at the first glance, is that it is far more easier and far more powerful to edit the template directly in the .aspx or .ascx then messing with it in the code-behind (like you probably did if you ever tried to change the design of DataGrid's default pager) and doing the constant rebuilding and debugging. Instead of spending your precious time in a custom paging solution, let the MonoSoftware.Web.Pager do the job for you.
